NYT Surface Apps
The New York Times Research & Development asked Vectorform to build two experimental apps for the Microsoft Surface multitouch table (not to be confused with the Surface tablet). The first was a reader for the New York Times, built around a family table. Users use gestures to open sections, expand photos, and scroll through articles. The app allowed up to two users to read at the same time, from any direction.
The second app, "Gadget Guru," was used internally by the Times R&D to demo New York Times software on various platforms, with additional information about the device that could be expanded using gestures.
